Alejandro Vigilante llegó a los Estados Unidos en 1995 debido a una invitación de Art Miami. Rápidamente se volvió popular en los noticieros de televisión y programas de entretenimiento. A medida que su popularidad crecía, también lo hizo la demanda de su trabajo. Las superestrellas internacionales de la música, Gloria y Emilio Estefan, le encargaron pintar murales de estilo Art Deco en su histórico hotel de South Beach. Ese trabajo lo llevó a un encuentro con el cineasta Oliver Stone, quien le comisionó un retrato al óleo de uno de los personajes de su película " Any given Sunday". El trabajo de Vigilante se basa en la exploración de los campos digitales, en especial del internet. Aprovecha estos métodos intangibles para mezclar y alterar los colores rápidamente, agregar textos, cortar y pegar gráficos y editar y reproducir limpiamente. Vigilante residió un tiempo en Nueva York lugar donde dio a conocer su talento abiertamente y utilizó como discurso las imágenes de Elizabeth Taylor y Jim Morrison. En el caso de Marilyn Monroe, Vigilante contextualizó la queja de la artista sobre de la velocidad "dial-up" en la que se informó su ilícito romance con el presidente Kennedy. Actualmente Vigilante vive y trabaja en Miami.

Alejandro Vigilante arrived to the United States in 1995 due to an invitation by Art Miami. He quickly became popular on T.V. news and entertainment shows. As his popularity grew, so did the demand for his work. International music superstars Gloria and Emilio Estefan commissioned him to paint an Art Deco style mural in their historic South Beach hotel. This task allowed him to meet director Oliver Stone, who asked him for a portrait of a character from his movie "Any given Sunday". Vigilante's work is based on the exploration of the digital world, especially the Internet. He uses these intangible methods to quickly mix and alter colors, add text, copy- paste graphs, edit and play in a clean way. Vigilante lived in New York for a while, where his talent became openly known and the images of Elizabeth Taylor and Jim Morrison were used as a statement for his work. In Marilyn Monroe's case, he contextualized her complain about the "dial- up" speed by which her illicit romance with President Kennedy became rapidly known. Vigilante now lives and works in Miami.
